Hey everyone! I know I don’t usually post on Saturday nights, but I found something equal parts wonderful and kind of silly, so I just had to share.
Confession: I watch entirely too many baking vlogs. Maybe it’s the British accents (remember, self-proclaimed Anglophile over here) or the fact that kitchen utensils/decor are my kryptonite, but I’m obsessed. Also slightly confused by the conversions between grams and cups, but that’s another discussion.
Anyways, tonight’s another exciting day-in-the-life, and I blinked and it was 9:30. And I really really wanted something that was 1) chocolate and 2) baked. Enter Pinterest! I slightly modified the original recipe, grabbed my favorite mug, and set to work. Literally 5 minutes later, I was back in front of my laptop, learning the import of frosting nozzles and contemplating whether I could imitate these accents (if I told you I were from Brighton, would you believe me?). Hope everyone enjoys!
- 6 tablespoons hot chocolate mix
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
Mix the hot chocolate mix and flour in your mug, then add the melted butter, water and vanilla. Pop in your microwave for a minutes, then an additional 10 seconds until it looks done. To clarify, “done” means the edges look dry, NOT the middle. The middle will still be kind of molten, which is super gooey and fabulous and we love it all the more.
Thanks to Pinterest for coming in clutch and British Youtubers for making me feel equally inadequate and inspired.
