I worry for the day when I have children or pets, because, if my apartment is at all indicative, they will completely take over my Insta feed.

I’ve done my share of decorating spaces, yet for some reason my latest apartment has me feeling much much more proud than any of those spaces. Most lazy mornings have me running around snapping photographs, then mentally chastising myself: no, Chrisy, let’s not put pictures of your house on the internet. Detail shots are my happy compromise.

Details really do make the difference in a space. Whether its woven thatch that you mount on your dining room wall or corkboards that you paint for your kitchen, the little additions are the things that show your style, and communicate about you. Anyone can pick up chairs from IKEA, it’s what you do with them when you’re done that makes the difference.

Maybe someday I’ll do some posts on decorating, with some nice lists, and highly stylized shots. But for the time being, do enjoy the little glimpses into my living room ♥

    1. Awww, thanks so much, lady ♥ IKEA is my happy place, so I went a bit crazy with the shelves…until I realized it really wasn’t that crazy, because I love love love being surrounded by books!
