about

collared cashmere launched with the New Year in 2016. It’s the place for the remarkable: the things that make me stop and say ‘yeah, that’s worth sharing’.  It’s a bit of fashion, a bit of my mind, a bit of tech, a lot of something warm and sweet in a mug, and some macarons thrown in for good measure (hygge is like my favorite thing right now, which basically tells you everything you need to know).

I’ve christened this corner of the internet “a life and style blog” because that’s exactly what it is. Yes, here you’ll find a lot of clothes/outfit pictures but there’s more—both to this life and this blog—than pretty clothes. I never promise you haute couture, just my life: in 7-9 pictures, or a 15-minute peek into my kitchen.

So why collared cashmere? It’s a dichotomy—which, for the record, is my favorite descriptor as well as coffee shop—of structure and softness. It’s propriety with a touch of indulgence. I’m a big believer that women are more than just one thing, and this blog is to celebrate that. You’re not just your Sunday morning, your Friday night, your Monday afternoon. You are the priceless and inimitable combination of each of those, plus the way you take your coffee, your ruby red pea coat, and your

As for me personally, I never know what to say in places like this…I’m a software developer for a media company in Dallas, where I live with a plant I named Nate (whom I can’t believe I haven’t killed yet) in an apartment that I gleefully furnished almost exclusively with IKEA (RIP Nate). I drink absurd amounts of coffee and tea…I really just like mugs. And walking in heels with a coffee tumbler. Heels in general, if we’re being honest. I write in cursive because my print is awful, I have an embarrassing obsession with Broadway, and oversized sweaters. Also brunch and antiquing. I am a follower of Christ, amazed and transformed by the grace with which He has saved me, and calls me to live fully in Him. I believe in blessings, big and small, and miracles.

Isaiah 30:18

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore, He will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice, blessed are all who wait on Him

Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask! I’d absolutely love to hear from you.
